Kathrin Dörfler is an architect and researcher in the field of robotic fabrication. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from TU Vienna, and a PhD degree in Digital Fabrication from ETH Zurich. Together with Romana Rust, she co-founded the Architecture studio dorfundrust. Her articles have been published by GAM and Springer and she has participated in various exhibition and installation projects. Currently, Kathrin Dörfler is a postdoc at Gramazio Kohler Research at the National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Digital Fabrication. Her research investigates on-site robotic processes and augmented reality for fabrication.

In summer 2019, she will join TU Munich to establish a research group in Robotic Fabrication at the Department of Architecture.
